Two members of our research group participated in the 14th SIEF (Société Internationale d´Ethnologie et de Folklore) congress in Santiago de Compostella (April 2019). Anna Szakál talked about István Tiboldi, a 19th-century folklore collector, teacher and poet. She explored the question of how researchers from different ages tried to construct a good or bad collector (István Tiboldi ’a bad collector’ from the 19th century). Emese Ilyefalvi talked about the possibilities and challenges of collecting and archiving folklore in the digital realm. (Dublin Core and Omeka. Possibilities and challenges of digital folklore collections and archives). At the congress, Emese Ilyefalvi was elected a board member of the SIEF Working Group on Archives committee.
